Neocolours' News Updates

Candy and Polka Dot Poogle

Candy is very nice. I'm especially fond of the little round sprinkles on its head. I also like the subtle detail of how its lower stripe is regular chocolate like its lower half but the upper one is white chocolate like the rest of the upper body.

Polka Dot is also pretty nice. It seems to be more of an off-white or very, very light blueish overall, but that may just be an illusion due to the stripes.

Chocolate and Marble Techo

Chocolate is very lovely. The detailing is simply amazing, particularly the drizzling of chocolate on chocolate and all the details on the tail.

Marble is also very pretty. I particularly like how the swirling goes through the whole body.

8-bit and Dimensional Draik

8-bit looks a bit larger than most varieties and the 'lines' seem a bit thicker as well. I'm not sure that the side-view was the best one for this particular pet since it almost doesn't look like a Draik at all!

Dimensional is pretty enough. It looks fairly par for the course, but it's nice overall.

Swamp Gas and Woodland Kyrii

Swamp Gas is pretty interesting. The artist really went the extra mile with the aura and included a bit of drippiness as well as an almost 3D quality.

The Woodland Kyrii is also gorgeous and I think the pine-like leaves are just perfect for it.

Water and Dimensional Grundo

Grundos are cute critters in general, so it's pretty fun to see new colours for them. Water is very nice with the splashes on the top of the head and around the antennae. The edges are a bit muddled, though - I'd have preferred more of the blending like on the edges of the hands and left shoulder.

Dimensional does its job pretty well. It's nicely glowy.

Clay and Pastel Meerca

Clay is okay, but initially I thought it was some form of Woodland, but it's actually not too different from other Clays.

Pastel is very pretty and, frankly, what I'd love to see from Purple.

Relic and Candy Blumaroo

Relic is very nice. The artist did an excellent job! The shading is gorgeous and the various lines and the moss are in all the right places.

Candy is another hit. It looks exactly like it could be eaten - which may or may not be a good thing for an actual pet! The glitteriness is nicely done - not too much, but not too little either.

Sponge and Wraith Ruki

Sponge looks really pretty for a change. I like the different shades of violet on it. The holes are nicely placed too.

Wraith looks appropriately creepy. I particularly like the tendrils that are coming off it.

Elderly Peophin

The hat on the Elderly Boy looks unusually large and I'm not sure about the glasses on the Elderly Girl but overall the two of them look very nice. I like that they added a beard to the Elderly Boy (even if it initially looks like a goatee and long sideburns). The bun on the Elderly Girl is a nice touch evven if it's a bit hidden by the umbrella.

Custard and Candy Kiko

I'm not a fan of Custard to star with, but this one has to take the cake. The hands look like they have gloves on and, despite a couple dribbles over them do not look much like they're made of custard at all. The band aid does not help matters.

When I first saw Candy, I thought it was Dimensional. I'm still not sure what to make out of it. I mean, it's nice and glittery but I'm having a hard time figuring out what type of candy it's supposed to be - other than it's grape flavoured.

Biscuit and Eventide Tuskaninny

Biscuit is pretty boring. No chips (except, maybe, the nose), barely any colour change. I mean, the transition around the muzzle is nice and the darker hair is okay, but without chips it looks like it's made out of some kind of sand.

Eventide is similarly not exciting. They put the stars on the head and tried to make the nose stand out, but it's really nothing spectacular.

Marble and Pastel Ixi

Marble looks very nice. The spotted pattern and translucence is good. I like that they kept the pattern for the collar.

Pastel is gorgeous. I think I may even get an Ixi to make it that colour. The use of cream on lavender is great and the blues fit in perfectly!

Ice and Dimensional Flotsam

Ice looks very interesting. The form has lots of neat angles within it that show off light and shade just like one might expect from ice without having a blocky exterior.

Glowing is pretty nice overall. It does what's expected and has an interesting colour.

Stealthy and Transparent Acara

Stealthy looks pretty nice. I'll admit I never quite got what the extra spiky stuff has to do with the colour other than, maybe, hinting at ninja things or extra cool points, but it does look nice.

Transparent is very nice. Someone did a really great job with anatomy!

Ice and Eventide Kau

Ice has a good amount of blockiness to it - not too much but not too little either. It has semi-translucence in places which really add to its appeal.

eventide is also very well done. I especially like the stars on the head and horns which has some larger ones almost as if they're part of a constellation. I like that the bell continues the colour scheme. I'm less sure about the hooves. Somehow the yellow doesn't quite work there for me.

It's interesting to see that both have bells, which is not always the case with Kaus.
