I offered to make someone a DA icon, because I wanted to try out pixel art, so here it is-



I'm pretty pleased with it, for a first try ^^ What do you guys think?

Aww, it's great! The one thing i would say is that the lineart is a tad wobbly on the lion's back leg, but I can't really critisize because its better than anything I could do XD

You'll need to upload the image onto Photobucket or Imageshack and give us the link so we can see it, because that link doesn't work

As always, I adore your art Amazing detail- how long did it take you? Even if I could find something wrong with it, and wouldn't critisize it one bit, I wish I could draw like that xD

Is there any other way to make the pixelly look go away, without making everything look fuzzy/blurry? I find the best way is to just draw an outline, fill it with the lightest colour of the object you want to use, then just gradually layer up the object where it would be shaded, but making it darke...

I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said, but the second is definitely an improvement on the first. Don't tell me anything's wrong with paint- I do all my drawings (and most of my graphics stuff on there too) using Paint, and even when I tried drawing on Photoshop, it looked a mess ...

Wondered if anyone was participating in the One Million Masterpeice thing- i'd love to see what people here have drawn, and what you think of the whole thing! If you haven't heard about it, it's 'the world's largest artistic collaboration', and they're trying to get 1 mil people to sign up and draw ...
