This is possibly the best news I've heard all day. It's just...wonderful. The best part is that if there were dinosaurs, given the US govt's track record it probably would actually happen.

That is the greatest thing I think I have ever heard. I mean, on the surface, it does sound pretty stupid. BUT, if they do this right (and that will not be easy to do), I think this could seriously be a great movie experience.
Plus, the idea of seeing a pack of armed raptors seeking revenge for their JP1 counterparts makes me giggle.

At least the "killer dolphins" probably aren't real. If there were smart dinos capable of actually holding and shooting a gun, though, I've no doubt they'd all be conscripted!dandelions wrote:This is possibly the best news I've heard all day. This movie is going to be so bad (that's actually a good thing). I can't wait.

I'm going to stand up and say "No! That sucks!" Sorry, but you can't take the most ridiculous idea ever, ACTUALLY MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT IT, and then have it be great. Snakes on a plane, haha yeah funny, but I really don't want to ACTUALLY waste my time watching that actually flushed out in a 1-2 hour long movie. Same with dinosaurs with guns.
Nothing could ever be as good as the first one, I guess. I don't know why but they haven't managed to come even close with the sequels. But this is taking it way too far in the opposite camp direction.
So I say, steer this ship back on course! Deserted jungle island, original cast, dinos. But in a good way.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I also thought, "The first was a stretch, the second was completely altered, there was no third, and now all plausibility has just gone shooting from reality like it was blown from an AK47 held by a Carnotaurus." No doubt dinosaurs wielding guns is interesting, but not the kind of thing suited for Jurassic Park. Maybe a spin-off.

the JP movies may be good in their own little niche, especially if it is the "lol dinosaurs with guns!" niche. However, they are nothing like the intelligent, thought-provoking, well-written, scientifically plausible books. The best thing about the first JP movie was it got me to read the book. ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
(I mean, c'mon, in the book, Nedry dies holding his own intestines. That is something Hollywood can't give you!)
