I was really excited about both of these, but as it turns out I am slightly more disappointed by the striped Hissi than I am satisfied with the Desert Hissi. I know this has already been addressed, but has everyone on the artistic staff lost their minds? It's not like there's no precedent for things along the general lines of a striped Hissi that looks like one of the many, many types of real striped snake (q.v. spotted Gelert, Kau, Koi, Tuskaninny and Uni, and, in a way, the ice Hissi), and the variations on the standard striped pale-blue-and-pink colors they used aren't even attractive.
On the other hand, put me down as one of the apparently few people who likes that they combined the cobra's hood and the stripy pharaonic headdress. And I can live with the beard. I'm a little sad it isn't wearing a uraeus, because I enjoy recursion.
Edit:

Would it help to think of it as a fake beard? It doesn't behave like one, but the ancient Egyptians were really in to their fake hair; I'm not sure they ever wore real beards of that type at all.
