I'm so very lucky and have a very generous friend who gave me the book. Shame about the avatar looking like it does but... why make the requirements SO ridiculous? The Bonju pot seems like such an unfair addition, too. And the month of August. And Mad About Orange. :/ It just seems plain mean to me. There's no way that anyone could have got it without a hint.

Mrrrr. I really wanted this avatar (it's a Shroomy blumaroo) but not with the price-gouging going on. Yeah, the book's only r50, but that's not much consolation when every newly rsed book is going for eyewatering amounts and then disappearing out of circulation entirely through the pot. They should've raised the level stocking significantly to compensate for deliberately saying it would only be available for three days. It's as bad as the first year of the Valentines cards.

Have split this from the Editorial thread, anyway.

Am I the only one that does not think the avatar will semi-retires tuesday?

Considering the Cyodrake plot ran from August 3rd to September 8th...makes me wonder.

You might have a point there, Iggy!

I'm happy to wait til next year - I have enough avatars that I can get between now and then anyway.

Well, after hours spent refreshing at the bookshop and Igloo Garage Sale I caved in, sold 15k of MPC at 48k NP per share and bought the book for whooping 1,4 mil.
In a year time it will cost probably 2k and I really planned to wait it out, but since I'm currently not saving for anything really and this avatar was to be my #300 I went with the madness. Bah - should have done it yesterday when it cost half as much.

It would have been neat if they made the book a temporary summer Keyquest prize - it would give them the crowd to test their keyquest servers strength like nothing else.

Jellyneo seem to have a list of Toy Chest prizes compiled already and it doesn't look like it's on there. :(

For me, I think I'm going to wait (if this really is a limited avatar) as I hate the idea of paying what is now a 1.8mil asking price for an item that's going to dive in price by next year. I can wait (she says)...
