A real pet, yes, but not really the cage, food, bedding, etc and take proper care of it ^_~

Just thought that argument was a little... over the top.

True.... That's not one of my better arguments.

What about a seamonkey? You could buy those for less than $15! And there'd be more than one! And you could name them any name you liked, even names other people have named their seamonkies before.

DON'T LET HER TAKE YOUR ARGUMENT AWAY FROM YOU. YOU WORKED HARD FOR IT.

Subeta is the same way but instead with items. Most of the items on there are more then $15. I'm not the type to spend real money on virtual items not even for the sims.

This isn't actually true, at all. There are usually twenty or more items in the cash shop and I personally have never seen more than seven costing greater than $5 simultaneously (Angelic Potion, MPs, Hypnosis Wand, Shuriken, possibly the Infinity Berry, and the Christmas Present in December).

I would guess it's probably about half-and-half. Unless you count all the DPs as different items--one DP box, loads of potential items inside; then the cheaper things definitely outweigh the more expensive things. I would count them, personally; after all, they all cost money. And I'd hazard another guess that it's the most often purchased cash shop item. Having cheap stuff means people go "pssh, two fifty? I can afford that! I can afford seven!"

On a more Misticpets-related note... I have already given up on the site, but when I go check the news in order to maintain knowledge of what's going on here (responsibility, obsession, who knows?), I always get pop-up ads. That is so not cool. Misticpets and Snopes share the same magical pop-up ability to get through my blocker. But Snopes actually has good content, so I'll risk it. ^_~

My annoyance with this site continues to grow. I just blew 60k on what I thought was a Terror Box that had mysteriously restocked in one of the shops, only to realize it was actually a Toxic Box of Doom:

Image Image
...Well, they kind of look similar if you squint. :P

Fine, my fault for going by sight rather than item name. "Oh well," I think as I run a shop search, "it's still a high rarity weapon, so I should at least be able to make a profit off of it when I rese.... Wait, why are people pricing it at less than what I paid for it in the shop?" >_<

It's is a nice weapon (albeit one use per battle), but I'm not into battling because training is so expensive. I already tried RSing a rare minion, only to see the price drop from 250k to 10k in under a week because everyone kept undercutting everyone else, so I'm not looking forward to trying to resell this thing.

ETA: I think that's my biggest beef with Misticpets; the economy. Maybe it'll even out as time goes on, but right now I don't see the point in trying to sell anything because the only [highly] demanded items I can see are the credit-bought items and the Boxes, neither which I see myself getting ahold of anytime soon at this point. It's like Neopets, except without any flash games that offer payout.

Misticpets has released a new color - Voodoo :)

Voodoo Cheran and Gourix. I rather like this color and look forward to seeing more of it. The Gourix is adorable if I had a personality for it.

Though I really wish Mistica would start selling Pandoria Boxes in the shop instead of just being cash-shop only at the moment.

There are two new pets to celebrate 10,000 members!

"The beautiful and shy Inarbu!"

"And the fearsome, credit shop Pet, Belragoth!"

I am in love with the Inarbu, it is just so very beautiful!

However, the Belragoth is just kind of 'meh' for me, mainly because I just don't like big musclely, type pets. However, the art work is amazing. :)

Remember, can't link to their images off-site. ^_~ (We can see Seerow's because she uploaded them to Photobucket.)

I read all 19 pages of this thread. Whooh.

I was going to offer to give my stigni..ghtus... ..princess mononoke ripoff pet to someone else, but I went to look at him, and realized that the name is something I want to keep, just in case I ever start logging in more than once every other month.

The site doesn't have much to interest me, at the moment. The art community seems to be okay, but not great. I have to admit that I'm predisposed to be bitter and dislike Mistic, though. One of their (possibly former,) staff members said something that just appalled me, and I'm still bitter about it. She apologized, and I don't hold it against /her,/ but I hold it against the site, somehow. XD'

I do think the art is mostly fantastic. I love the new bear thing. I don't love the idea of paying money for a pet.

The Flash Games now actually give out sP! You can earn up to 15K a day (this will be changed in the future, but at the moment, that is how it is).

I registered too, my username is Reverie
But I was having problems with that letters code and being a dork as I am, ended up registering myself as male. And now I can't change that! :?
I love the art and how I could get some nice names for my pets (and I wish I could get more pets like Subeta!). :o
The bad thing is that I can't see most of the site on Firefox and it isn't really nice. :(

Soo does anyone here still play Misticpets? Well they have their own spin on the Advent Calender. You actually have to hunt down the item somewhere on site. It expires each day as the new one is released.
Spoiler: open/close
To get the first item (if it hasn't been retired by the time you read this) go visit Rosebud in the Holiday shop.
