It's pretty much guaranteed it won't be released now, since she uploaded it to dA. I'm glad I noticed she'd done that before I had someone rework it a bit.
Andi, I figured that would happen, since she did end up uploading it. Too bad for everyone who would want one now, I guess Nestly dug herself a bit of a hole xD;
Haha, I feel so out of place right now. My reaction yesterday was along the lines of '.....meh', though I kind of attributed that to the fact that none of the three species means anything to me. But....nothing's changed now which is annoying - I want to like the Lain, dammit- and odd because I like the concepts and the detail and everything but it's just not working. Though after looking at the new three, I think my problem is just the green that's being used for the body colour. :-/ I really like the green of the ears/ruff of the Kanis and the Ontra's tail but that really light green is not clicking.
Well, it's very messy, from what I understand. Nestly is not currently on staff, and that matters quite a lot. And whoo boy, do not mention that whole galactic fiasco! ^_~ They very nearly were not released.
Oh, and adding more in an edit--I think that lasirus is unimpressive. But I didn't like the latest string of lasiruses at all. This one doesn't look like Subeta's art style, mainly. The boxy nose really does not do it for me.
Also, I adore the kumos. I kind of want one. I just can't help myself, I love kumoses so much.
I probably would if "Emma" hadn't made such a big deal about finding pets with things growing out of/on them. Frankly, I don't see it. This new batch is very pretty but they just look like green pets that decorated themselves with flowers. All the plants look very placed on, again, sort of like jewelry. Pretty! But not natural-looking.
In a way they remind me of post-customization Neopets. The flowers and butterflies just look like tacked-on additions after the pet itself was drawn.
Hopefully at least a few more will be more like the Antlephore. I seem to be in the minority but I greatly prefer that style.
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.
So far, I'm pretty disappointed by this color. It's too...cartoony, perhaps? I like the idea a lot, and the kumos and lain are especially nice--the lain's feathers are reminiscent of a weeping willow, which makes it probably my favorite thus far. But all of them seem overly cluttered.
At first, I thought I might want the kumos, but the more I looked at it, the more issues I had with it. For instance, the mossy/clovery things growing out of the kumos's fur are lovely, but then...there's a mushroom on his leg. It doesn't seem to be growing there--it looks as though it was simply pinned or painted on. The flowers and mushrooms and other decorative bits remind me more of the HA arm and leg tattoos than of parts of actual plant-pets.
I'm still holding out hope for future glade pets--maybe the cluttered look will be toned down a bit in later batches.

That mushroom does appear to be growing out of the leg in the full-sized version, but you're right: it doesn't read properly on the Subeta-sized version, which of course is the most important.
Oh, that makes sense It's a pity, but then again I'm not much of a Lasirus fan anyway |D.
I wasn't even around for the Galactic thing, I just read about it.
The kerubi is well-done, and I love the irion, with the little butterfly on the ear! It may be a candidate for a future pet... I'll see what else comes out!
