Re: Silver and Sroom Chia
Glad there's a mushroom neopet but it'd look a little better without the "hair" on top. Of course all chias would look a little better without their weird mouths too :p

Re: Woodland Buzz
I like that the mushrooms are probably to evoke entomopathogenic fungi but many people may miss that those are beetle larva tunnels in its chest! You see those under tree bark

Re: Steampunk and Toy Lenny
No I was snarkily referring to the fact that this is exactly the same in concept as subeta.net's "steamwork" and "nostalgic" colors, not that subeta owns the idea of steampunk pets and vintage toy themed pets, but it's funny they came out with two colors at once that their more s...

Re: Mutant Nimmo
lol, I've only posted about new mutants for years.
The fat toad body on this is alright, but the face is flat and incongruous.
And yeah, it has an angular art style that isn't really "neopets."

Even more obscure than an anemone; that's an apple sea cucumber!
Did Jumpstart suddenly hire some good artists again or something?

Re: Layoffs at Neopets
Am I the only one holding out some optimism that if they bring in a new creative team, it'll have equally good and bad possibilities? A totally new staff isn't going to be bound by the same rules - good and bad - that the old was adhering to. That means a fresh start with people thinking totally out...

That's actually based on a real tree that looks paint-splashed like that, with thin bark that tends to peel. Wish I could remember what to google to find a photo.

Re: Mutant Poogle
Yeah I saw that, it was a pretty wishy-washy answer of them.
I think they should just make some lab-ray-only species or others obtainable some weird new way. People would then realize why they might not be customizable, because they're like strange "secret" species anyway.

Re: Mutant Poogle
I disliked the Acara for the same reason; I know it's well received, and I do love diversity, but it's like these pets are what Darigan was supposed to be, but of course now they totally neutered Darigan. Aren't swamp gas and woodland customizable, not redraws in the same sense as baby, mutant and m...

Re: Mutant Poogle
Yeah, it's nicely drawn and terrifying and all that but what even REMOTELY makes this "mutant?" I thought the Acara was the worst and least mutanty, but this is just some sort of alien space-energy Balrog demon thing. This is like if a Maraquan pet came out and it was an alien robot in des...

Re: A New Battling Era Awaits...
Looks nicer and all, but I thought the whole problem everyone had with the battledome was the battle mechanics? I mean, you win automatically if you can afford the better weapon and half the stats serve no purpose. I assumed that was what they were focusing on fixing - giving players a legitimate ba...

Re: Mutant Lutari
I don't know what new mutant-like color they could ever possibly do that would make sense as its own distinct theme, once they've filled up all the mutants. Maybe an alien themed color, though a lot of mutants already have that look, unless they pick a specific alien motif and run with it, like exos...

I hope they do the Brain Tree next. For all the trouble his quests are and how awesome he is.
