My first real go at smooth shading in a couple of years, and even then I hardly did it. I think it turned out pretty well. I'm hoping to add a background eventually but right now I'm tired of working/looking at it. *started on it last month* Here's a comparison of how I drew him in 2005. D:

I really like the changes you've made, especially the claws and the shiny, spiky gears. He's just so smooth and pretty. Lovely work.

Both images are beautiful, but you can definitely see where you've improved. I love how the anatomy has developed, and your coloring/shading makes the new picture look absolutely phenomenal. I especially love how you've made the wings and small details more realistic.
